In the beginning, in 1961

At the time, the owner, Germain Bedot, managed the establishment called "La Nouvelle Plage", consisting mainly of a shaded, raised terrace where locals came on Sundays to share a picnic meal at long wooden tables. A bit of a nutcase, or a visionary, he erected a two-story building on the edge of the village at the time: a café, a restaurant, and a hotel.

Every year, the Abrivado undergoes a renewal. Modernization work is undertaken to ensure that it always welcomes you in the best possible conditions. The Abrivado remains a must-see place, a family hotel in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, a place of exchange between Camargue residents and visitors.

Breakfast formulas

Every morning, between 8am and 10:30am, we offer 4 breakfasts, to be enjoyed on the terrace or in the restaurant room. Breakfast is offered to hotel guests and to people passing through Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer:

  • Mini tartine €6: hot drink, rolls, butter, jam, orange juice

  • At 400 m, you will have the “Chemin des Macreuses car park”, on the surface and FREE
