In the beginning, in 1961

The owner, Germain Bedot, managed, at that time, the establishment called "la nouvelle Plage", consisting mainly of a shaded and raised terrace, where locals come on Sundays to share a meal, taken from the bag, on long wooden tables. A bit crazy, or visionary, he built, on the edge of the village at the time, a 2-storey building: a Café, a Restaurant and a Hotel.

Every year, the Abrivado offers itself a renewal. Modernization work is undertaken to always welcome you in the best conditions. The Abrivado remains a must-see place, a place of exchange between Camargue residents and visitors.

Breakfast formulas

Every morning, between 8am and 10:30am, we offer 4 breakfasts, to be enjoyed on the terrace or in the restaurant room. Breakfast is offered to hotel guests and to people passing through Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer:

  • Mini pastry €6: hot drink, croissant, mini pain au chocolat, orange juice
  • Mini tartine €6: hot drink, rolls, butter, jam, orange juice
  • Breakfast €9: hot drink, roll, butter, jam, croissant, mini pain au chocolat, yogurt, compote, orange juice
  • Maxi lunch €14: hot drink, bread, butter, jam, croissant, mini pain au chocolat, yogurt, compote, orange juice, savory plate (ham, raw ham, cheese and egg)

  • At 160 m, you will find the “Parking des Arènes”, a large paid car park
  • At 400 m, you will have the “Chemin des Macreuses car park”, on the surface and FREE
